Matthew 6:33-34 The Passion Translation (TPT)
“So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom[a] and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.[b] 34 Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time.[c] Tomorrow will take care of itself.”
In the beginning of this year I had an encounter with Jesus. He manifested next to me while I was in worship. One of the things He asked me was, “If you can ask Me anything, what would it be?” and my immediate response was, “teach me more about your Kingdom”.
Afterwards, I pondered my response for quite some time, not knowing the journey it would take me on.
In this last year, Abba took me on this journey of searching for His Kingdom and truly understanding the meaning of this scripture. So many people will quote this scripture but never get the true depth of the meaning of what Jesus said in this passage.
I asked Abba “what and where is Your Kingdom?” The Word says “seek” the Kingdom. The Hebrew expression for ‘seek’ is ‘zeteo’ which means ‘to worship’.
Worship in Hebrew: ‘cagad’ – to prostrate oneself. The word ‘prostrate’ has these following definitions found in the 1828 Noah Webster Dictionary:
“1. Lying at length, or with the body extended on the ground or other surface.
2. Lying at mercy, as a supplicant.
3. Lying in the posture of humility of adoration. “
In other words, this scripture says, to seek the Kingdom is to worship God by laying down your life for Him and only Him. For us to inherit the fulness of the manifestation and the promises of the Kingdom of God – on earth as it is in Heaven, we have to lay down our lives before Him and live on this earth only for Him. It is a conscious decision to step away from the things of this world and step into the promises of His Kingdom given to us through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 13:44-45
44 “Heaven’s kingdom realm can be illustrated like this:
“A person discovered that there was hidden treasure in a field. Upon finding it, he hid it again. Because of uncovering such treasure, he was overjoyed and sold all that he possessed to buy the entire field just so he could have the treasure.
45 “Heaven’s kingdom realm is also like a jewel merchant in search of rare pearls. 46 When he discovered one very precious[y] and exquisite pearl, he immediately gave up all he had in exchange for it.”
In this passage, the one who discovered the Kingdom was willing to give up everything in order to obtain that gift that he had discovered. In the above passages, the Kingdom of God is likened to a pearl and a hidden treasure. In both instances, upon discovering these precious gifts, they gave up everything to be able to purchase them.
Our start in inheriting the fullness of the scripture of Matthew 6:33 will depend on the condition of our hearts and if we are willing to lay down everything for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
On my journey in understanding Matthew 6:33 in fullness, I awoke one morning to a loud sound. It sounded like a heartbeat, a loud audible sound. I woke up like someone waking up out of a deep sleep, feeling disorientated and trying to figure out what had just happened. My heart was beating and as I sat up and became quiet, I asked Abba what that was. He said, “I woke you up to the rhythm of My heartbeat. It is time for My bride to wake up to the rhythm of My heartbeat”.
As I pondered on this, Abba said to me, “To seek My Kingdom is to enter into My heart and when you enter into My heart the rhythm of your life will come in line with the rhythm of My heartbeat”.
To seek the Kingdom is to seek the heart of the Father. Once we are in rhythm with His heartbeat and we understand His heart, we will experience the love and depth of who He is and that will cause us to lay prostrate before Him because of the overwhelming and intense feeling of love that we will discover. Once you have encountered the uncompromising, unselfish love of Abba, you will want to give up everything of this world to be able to obtain that love and live from that place.
Once Abba had allowed me to feel this and encounter His heart and the overwhelming love that He has for His children, I discovered the value of the Kingdom, the pearl of great price!
Jesus laid down His life for us, He gave up everything so that we can have the right to inherit the Kingdom of God. He laid His life prostrate before the Father by dying for us on the cross and through that He opened up the way for us back to the Father into the Kingdom of God.
Abba showed me that the moment Christ Yeshua died and blew out His last breath, the curtain in the Holy Place tore in the physical temple, but in Heaven His heart tore open! When He showed me this I cried! He truly gave His ALL so that we can have access into His heart – the Secret place!
Once you have discovered this place, your whole life will flow from there. You will live and abide in the hiddenness of His heart and then… it will be on earth as it is in Heaven! Then Matthew 6:33 will come into fulfillment in your life. Out of the heart of the Father all your daily needs will just be taken care of.
Abba asked me to write a journal for 2020 which will take you on a weekly journey of discovery of the Kingdom of God. I am writing a piece for every week about His Kingdom and this journey of discovering the depth of His heart for your life. My prayer is that in this time ahead, that His children will return home (home is where HIS heart is) and that His bride will awake! Arise and shine and come into the rhythm of His heartbeat for this time and season we are in (Isaiah 60).
We will keep you posted once the “First seek the Kingdom” journal is available.
Much love and many blessings
