I heard the voice of our Abba Father so clearly this morning –
“I AM building the House of Acts and it starts with Family homes being restored ”
Acts 2:46-47
Day after day they met in the temple [area] continuing with one mind, and breaking bread in various private homes. They were eating their meals together with joy and generous hearts, 47 praising God continually, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord kept adding to their number daily those who were being saved.
For the last 18 months Abba has really worked with us as a family. It was a deep and humbling journey. It was our wilderness season of preparation for the journey ahead…We faced many giants and had to confront many things, during these 18 months He kept drawing us into family, focusing inwards and not outwards, leaning on Him as a family. In our journey Abba said many times… “I need to heal and restore your home before I can use it as my Church” home is not a physical building home is wherever family gathers together. Home is in the heart of family.
Malachi 4:5-6
“Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. 6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers [a reconciliation produced by repentance], so that I will not come and strike the land with a curse [of complete destruction].”
Families are missing the true meaning of family. The enemy has gone hard after families, breaking up marriages – breaking relationships between brothers and sisters- Father’s and sons, Father’s and daughters. The Western world has indoctrinated family values and how to raise your children – according to their values and families has moved away over the years from Abba Father’s ancient path when it comes to marriage – family and sibling relationship.
With our children the emphasis has been placed on friends and being social and so many other things that seems right according to the worlds standard – but their first friends are in their own home. You cannot be a loyal friend to others if you are not first a loyal friend to your brother or sister.
There is a slogan that I read once that touched my heart deeply…
“We cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans”
Ceaser represents the world – over the ages the Wordly ways has removed from culture a lot of Abba Father’s Truths – His Ancient paths became exactly that “ancient and hidden” as people moved away further from Truth over the years. In many aspects Roman culture has affected our lives and biblical truths became history. We are called as a generation to uncover these truths and live by it.
Jeremiah 6:16
Thus says the Lord,
“Stand by the roads and look; ask for the ancient paths,
Where the good way is; then walk in it,
And you will find rest for your souls.
Healthy family homes will become the Church of Acts. Families that fear Yahuah and His ways, Families will gather in homes together and worship Him. Signs – wonders and miracles will flow from healthy, whole families into the lives of broken families. The hearts of Father’s will be turned to their sons.
The prodigals are returning back home, there will be a tremendous form of restoration in families and marriages.
For the last 18 months it felt as if Abba placed a magnifying glass on our hearts – individually but also as a family. He dealt with deep hidden wounds and mixed seed in our hearts, at a stage it felt like everything was falling apart – but it was not falling apart but falling into place.
Lock down in 2022 the process of restoration of families started, families where locked in their homes, all you had for a while was your family, nothing and no one else. When Noah went into the Ark Abba send him with His family. We all went into an Ark season – what the enemy meant to harm us Abba is turning around for our good and His Glory.
Abba is revealing deeper levels of revelation concerning His ways and His Ancient paths. Families will find rest in His ways – not the ways it has been but His ways. Families will find their ways in His feats and His Shabbat, they will find their rest and healing in His Word and His Truth. Abba is busy aligning families with His heart and His perfect will. All we need to do is be willing and surrender our hearts into His hands. He will do the work through our obedience.
If your family still feels like it is falling apart go to the Word, spend time together in prayer, allow the Holy Spirit to reveal – deliver and heal. This is the time for restoration of family, you are not falling apart but falling into place into His perfect will.
Where do you start
Repentance towards each other – facing each other. Being peace makers and not peace keepers.
Matthew 5:9
“Blessed [spiritually calm with life-joy in God’s favor] are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they will [express His character and] be called the sons of God.
A peacemaker confronts and the confrontation brings peace and healing, confrontation brings what is hidden in our hearts into the light, what is revealed can be healed.
A peacekeeper keeps quiet – they carry the pain in their hearts and it brings separation because the pain never gets spoken about. A peacekeeper “keeps” the peace but in the end it tores people apart because the problem remains hidden and is never brought to light
That is why the Word says a peace maker will be spiritually calm and live in His joy and favor, they will be sons of God which means they are mature. When you are mature and know who you are you can confront a situation in Truth and bring things to light. When you are insecure you will rather keep the peace by not confronting the situation, peacekeepers are people pleasers, they will rather please people and keep things hidden and not bring it to light, but that causes you to not be at rest and wrestle with emotions on the inside which eventually leads to destruction and division in relationships.
According to the Word Abba is calling us to be peace makers – be the peace maker in your family.
Families who prays together stays together- it starts with husband and wife.
Listen to each other – don’t take offense – work together even if the truth revealed is hard to accept – if you are in the wrong listen and ask for forgiveness and work together with Abba to bring healing and restoration.
And then most important – each family is different. As you spend time together praying and reading the Word and being peace makers Abba will lead you as a family. Do not look at other families and try and copy their way. Each family and each child is unique and each family and child and marriage is on a different path and will discover new truths in different times. Do not compare- do not judge – walk your journey and keep your focus on Abba. Walk out your scroll as a family. What is written in your scrolls may not be what is written in another families scroll.
Families has been going through the purification process.
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times
Silver is purified in the fire 7 times. Each time it enters the fire black dirt comes to the service, the silver smith removes the dirt and places it back into the fire until the process is complete and the silver reflects his reflection.
In the same manner families, marriages and their finances has gone through this process, all the pain, anger, unforgiveness, lack, poverty, adultery, unfaithfulness has been coming to the survice, all the darkness hidden in our hearts has been revealed. This process was not the enemy but it was Abba Yahuah taking us through the process to cleanse our families, marriages and finances- to purify us as a vessel that will carry His Glory. He has been purifying the family home so that we can become the Church of Acts. Our homes will manifest His Glory and we will become houses of provision.
If you are still in this process, facing all the ‘darkness’ being revealed I want to encourage you to ‘rest’ in the knowing that Abba Father is in control. He is on the throne, you are in the fire of purification and all has to be revealed so that your home can be healed and become a place of worship and provision. Embrace the fire and allow Him to purify your home, marriage, finances and family. It all belongs to Him anyway..
Genesis 12:3
And I will bless (do good for, benefit) those who bless you,
And I will curse [that is, subject to My wrath and judgment] the one who curses (despises, dishonors, has contempt for) you.
And in you all the families (nations) of the earth will be blessed.”
Families need to stand together, support each other, embrace each other, we all belong to the same Kingdom with different callings and purposes. Together in unity it will be as the Word says…

His favor, blessing and goodness will rest upon families that dwell together in unity.
